The BLCU campus is located in the Bejing's convenient Haidian District, with campus area covering 38 hectares, and a floor space of 240,000 square meters. BLCU is 15 kilometers away from Tian' anmen Square and the Forbidden City, 35 kilometers away from the Capital Airport, 20 kilometers away from the Beijing Railway Station and 12 kilometers from the Beijing West Railway Station.

TRANSPORTATION NEAR AND AROUND BLCU |
BLCU is located in the northwest district of Beijing and boasts convenient public transportation. Students have easy access to buses, taxis, and subways as they are all found within close walking distance.
Buses

BLCU is on the 331, 375, 398 and 902 bus routes that go directly to downtown areas. Fares for ordinary buses cost anywhere from 1 to 3 RMB, and the fares for smaller buses costs about 2 RMB.

Subway & Skytrain

BLCU is within walking distance to the Wudaokou Skyway Station. Transportation fares costs between 3 to 5 RMB, depending on whether you transfer between skytrain and subway.

Taxi

Taxis are easily found outside of the BLCU campus gates. Taxi fares range from 1.20, 1.60 to 2.0 RMB per kilometer, depending on type of taxi cab chosen. A taxi trip from the University to the Beijing airport takes about 40 minutes.

Bicycles

Bicycles are also major form of transportation for people in Beijing. You can rent bicycles for 20-30RMB per day, or buy a pretty reliable one from 150-500RMB. Parking your bike is easy as there are many places to park bikes all over the city and the charge for this service is less than 1RMB.
Those purchasing bicycles are required to register their bicycles by showing their purchase invoice and passport to the transportation administration department and pay a bicycle tax in order to obtain bicycle licenses. Those buying second-hand bicycles are required to go through a transfer of ownership procedure. These processes may sound cumbersome, but don't worry, a PRC Study staff can assist you.

Motor Vehicles
Foreigner students driving motor vehicles, including motorcycles and or scooters, must register with the BLCU's Security Office with the student ID Card, valid driver's license and vehicle driving card to obtain a campus-driving permit.
Please note, when riding bicycles or driving vehicles, the vehicle operator must abide by Chinese traffic rules and refrain from speeding. Therefore, foreign students operating any vehicles are advised to pay special attention to transportation safety.
