PRC Study
Student Lounge & Facilities
PRC Study offers excellent and modern facilities to help you
develop and consolidate your Chinese skills while you enjoy your
course with us. Your teachers are always happy to discuss any
areas of your course during your stay and our program consultants
are always available to provide free academic counseling.
Student Lounge
You can use it as a study lounge or as a place to hang out with
your friends, classmates and language partners. We have a coffee
machine, microwave, refrigerator, sofas, desks and chairs for
students to use.
Computer Center
Our computer section is equipped with state-of-the-art computers
which are set-up with multi-media Chinese learning software, Internet
Explorer and Microsoft Office, as well as high speed wired and
wireless internet access.
Listening Lab
We also have audio equipment specifically designed for Chinese
language learning. It is really quite cool. Not only can you hear
Chinese recordings, but you can record your voice on the machine
and hear yourself speak Chinese without recording over anything
else. This is great for improving listening and Chinese pronunciation
skills.
Entertainment Center
Students can make use of the TV and the wide selection of both
Chinese and English DVDs we have available. We also have a variety
of sports equipment (all kinds of racquets, basketball, soccer
ball, etc.) and games, such as Mahjong sets, Poker cards, Chinese
chess, and more for you to use.
PRC Study Library
The PRC Study library contains many Chinese related reference
materials on many subject matters for students use. Shared study
materials including the latest computer software, Chinese grammar
and vocabulary books, flash cards, cassette tapes, library of
readers and videos are also available.
Message Center
You can arrange to have important items, such as parcels, letters,
faxes, and messages delivered to PRC Study for safe keeping until
you pick it up. Each student is assigned
a mailbox and will also be given personalized name cards for networking
purposes during your study program in China.
PRC Study Academy Study Facilities
In Beijing, we offer you two study locations centrally located
in the university district. One is located in a modern high-rise
building showing you new China; the other location is three minutes
by foot to a traditional Chinese courtyard where we have a stand
alone two-stories building giving a quaint traditional Chinese
feel and culture. Modernly furnished, the classrooms are bright
and spacious, and equipped with comfortable chairs and desks,
whiteboard, tape recorder, portable projector, and air-conditioning.
Please note: Students enrolled in our university programs will
have their classes on the university campus for which they have
signed up for; and students enrolled in the PRC Study Academy
will have classes at the PRC Study Academy premises. However,
all PRC Study students, whether studying at a university or the
PRC Study Academy, are welcomed to use the classrooms of the PRC
Study Academy when available to do their homework.
Recreation Area
In our pleasant and comfortable traditional courtyard school
location, we have facilities where all PRC Students students can
play badminton, basketball and ping pong (table tennis) outdoors.
In the spring, summer and fall, we have chairs and tables outside
in the courtyard where we can have barbeques and chit chat with
local Chinese and international students.
Restaurants and Shops
There are many Chinese and other international restaurants offering
various types of cuisines conveniently located around our premises
and within walking distance. Also located nearby are supermarkets,
cinemas, coffee bars, and shops of all kinds.
